Following the successful drilling and completion of the UMU 19 and UMU 20 wells, SunTrust Atlantic Energies Limited with its JV Partner, (“SunTrust Atlantic”), is pleased to announce the commencement of the Umusadege 21 (“UMU 21”) drilling campaign. UMU 21 was spudded on April 21st 2024 and will be drilled as a slightly deviated well in the west-west accumulation of the Umusadege field.

The primary objective of this well is to drill and develop sands XIIIa, XVIa and XVIb. The well will be completed as a dual string multi-zone producer in three sands.

The UMU 21 well will also give SunTrust Atlantic the opportunity to drill a slightly deviated well that will transverse all the sands in the west-western culmination up to the D2 reservoir. UMU 21 is the third well in the planned 5-wells drilling campaign of the Umusadege Joint Venture.
