Following the successful drilling and completion of the Umu-19 and Umu-20 wells, SunTrust Atlantic Energies Limited with its JV Partner, (“SunTrust Atlantic”), is pleased to announce the commencement of the Umusadege 21 (“Umu-21”) drilling campaign. Umu-21 was spudded on April 21st 2024 and will be drilled as a slightly deviated well in the west-west accumulation of the Umusadege field.
The primary objective of this well is to drill and develop sands XIIIa, XVIa and XVIb. The well will be completed as a dual string multi-zone producer in three sands.
The Umu-21 well will also give SunTrust Atlantic the opportunity to drill a slightly deviated well that will transverse all the sands in the west-western culmination up to the D2 reservoir. Umu-21 is the third well in the planned 5-wells drilling campaign of the Umusadege Joint Venture.
