Following the successful drilling and completion of the Umu-19 well, SunTrust Atlantic Energies Limited (“SunTrust Atlantic”) with its JV Partner, is pleased to announce the commencement of the Umusadege CE-1 (“Umu CE-1”) drilling campaign. Umu CE-1 was spudded on February 6th 2024 and will be drilled as a deviated well in the central east accumulation of the Umusadege field to a total depth of +/- 9,330ft-md/8,650ft-tvd.
The objective of this well is to drill and develop primary targets (sand XIIIa, XVIa and XVIb) in the central east accumulation of the Umusadege field. The well will be completed as a dual string multi-zone producer in three sands.
The Umu CE-1 well will also give SunTrust Atlantic the opportunity to acquire Pressure-Volume-Temperature (PVT) data to enhance reservoir performance review and reservoir management. Umu CE-1 is the second well in the planned 5-wells drilling campaign of the Umusadege Joint Venture.
